Mountain Top Wedding NH

I’ve got a soft spot in my heart for anything that happens in the mountains, let alone a wedding on top of one!

Lindsay and Tim’s big day was originally last summer, and along with most everyone else, had to postpone their wedding until the following year. Not only that, but because of the way regulations were at the time, they were forced to change venues. What came from this, however, was a beautiful mountain top wedding set in the heart of one of my favorite areas- the White mountains.

The day was warm and overcast, with some delightfully moody clouds hugging the surrounding mountains. Lindsay had chosen to get ready in the historic Mt. Washington Hotel- a sight to behold if you’ve never been - and do their first look on the expansive covered porch. After a few tears and a lot of smiles, we headed across the street and hoped into the gondolas at Bretton woods, bound for the brand new summit lodge.

In the midst of all the excitement, one mans glee shined brighter than everyone else. Lindsay’s dad, Greg, was having a day. Not only was he generally elated to see his beautiful daughter get married, but he had a little surprise up his sleeve for the reception. Following the outdoor ceremony - which was intimate and stunning all on its own, the ‘father of the bride’ speech was accompanied by a slideshow. Greg had not only assembled and scanned pictures from each stage of Lindsay’s life, but narrated it, with a poem he wrote, AND played his own instruments to create the soundtrack as well!! Like, what!? Probably one of the coolest sights I’ve seen during a speech.

The rest of the evening was just a fun as the rest of the day, as everyone danced, mingled and enjoyed the remaining hours of this adorable celebration. Congratulations Lindsay, Tim, I’ll be remembering the details of your wedding day for a long time to come!
